PRAGUE, Czech Republic (BRAIN)—Specialized recently formed a subsidiary in the Czech Republic and has opened two new concept stores in Prague.

Specialized Czech, located just outside Prague, employs 35 people who handle sales, marketing, SBCU, retail services and finance and run the warehouse.

BOULDER, CO (BRAIN)—Bruno Maier, who joined the Bikes Belong staff in June 2009 as membership and development director, has been promoted to vice president.

MONTEREY, CA (BRAIN)—Perhaps it was the four days worth of sun that caused the state of euphoria that manufacturers were feeling at this year’s Sea Otter Classic. But most likely the jubilance had to do with the strong first quarters most companies reported seeing thus far.
