NANTES, France (BRAIN) — E-bike connective solutions company Velco has entered the U.S. market and will supply its technology to three brands in 2024.
The QuietKat Lynx and Fuell Flluid 3 feature the Velco smartbike technology Mobitrax GPS. Linked with its software, data is collected and commands can be sent to e-bikes, providing antitheft, contact between the brand and rider, knowledge about product use, and maintenance management.
Vvolt, currently amid a crowdfunding campaign, will implement Velco technology in 2024.
The Velco IoT device is integrated during assembly and is then linked to the software suite, including Velco Assembly Assist for brands to ease integration during assembly, Velco Business Insight for brands to manage cyclists and subscriptions, Velco Fleet Management tool, and Velco Rider mobile app for brands to offer connected services to their cyclists.
“Velco provides a white-label mobile app to offer connected services to cyclists, but has also developed a cyclist management platform for OEMs,” said Johnny Smith, Velco co-founder. “Brands can create and strengthen their relationship with riders to ensure satisfaction, build brand loyalty and community, and always be one step ahead of the e-bike market with an analysis and decision-making tool.”
Velco has been working with several French brands, including Gaya bike, Ultima Mobility, and Nakamura. It also has connected Paris’ largest e-bike long-term rental fleet Véligo, which has more than 20,000 e-bikes.
