CHICAGO (BRAIN) — ABUS has added HLC and Serfas as U.S. distributors. ABUS said both distributors have "excellent" warehousing and shipping teams that will improve the retail ordering experience.
"When looking to expand our distribution model, we wanted to find partners that had solid relationships within the industry and could help support our growth with IBDs," said Brian Orloff, ABUS VP of sales and marketing. "As our distributor in Canada, HLC has been a fantastic partner, and we are excited to work with them in both markets. Serfas is a well-respected brand with a dedicated sales team and staff that has us excited for the future."
Pat McGinnis, HLC CEO, agreed.
"We have personally seen the success of ABUS in Canada and are excited to be part of growing the business here in the United States," he said. "With an unparalleled assortment of locks, and growing lineup of helmets, the future is bright for ABUS."
As part of the changes, ABUS also will take over processing keyed-alike orders through its OneKey program. This change will simplify and streamline the process, according to ABUS, making it easier for shops and consumers to place orders and take advantage of the program.
"As a family business, Serfas is proud and excited to partner with another family business, ABUS," said Ray Kuipers, Serfas CEO. "This blend of the two companies will continue our 30-year tradition of supporting IBDs with excellent products that bring value to the dealer and their customers."
During the transition, the ABUS team will be available to answer any questions and assist its partners. ABUS can be reached at sales@abus.com or at 312-640-1111.
