EASTON, Pa. (BRAIN) — Roam Investment Group, led by former Allied Cycle Works COO Paul Jarrell, has acquired Speedsleev, the maker of minimalist saddle bags and handlebar bags.

Jarrell, now the president and managing director of Speedsleev, and CEO of RoamIG, said, "I've been riding with SpeedSleev products for years, because of their focus on functionality. I'm excited to be in a position to grow the brand and the brand offerings."

Speedsleev was founded in 2011 by Rob Allen.

Allen said, "I enjoyed pushing the edge on minimalist and redefining a category that was largely unchanged for decades. I am excited to see what Paul and his team will do to continue and evolve the product lines and the company with fresh ideas and new capital."

RoamIG has previously held investments in Allied and in Domestic Bikes. Jarrell said the group was in the process of divesting its investment in Domestic Bikes.

He said the acquisition of Speedsleev will enable the company to expand its product offering, increase distribution to BTI and retailers, establish new distribution channels worldwide, and expand U.S. manufacturing.
