Published July 14, 2021

SAINT-AUGUSTIN-DE-DESMAURES, Québec (BRAIN) — Louis Garneau Sports Group expanded into Europe this month with the opening of a distribution center in Toulouse, France.

The Toulouse operations include sales, administration, marketing, and manufacturing. The expansion comes after Louis Garneau restructured in 2020 with a goal of going public in two years.

The Canadian company was founded in 1983 and led by Olympic cyclist Louis Garneau and available in more than 40 countries. It has operated a distribution center in Derby, Vermont, since 1987, a production factory in Mexico for 10 years, and a supply office in China.

Since 2018, Garneau Sports Group also includes the brands Sugoi and Sombrio.

The European marketing program includes regional product campaigns throughout key territories as the brand continues to build its presence worldwide.

The European Collection will feature a variety of products from Louis Garneau and Sugoi, including the Louis Garneau cycling shoe worn by Canadian Olympian and World Tour winner Mike Woods.
