SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (BRAIN) — The Big Gear Show, a new outdoor industry trade show announced last week, has hired former Interbike show director Lance Camisasca as the director of its bike show. The show is planned for July 21-25, 2020 at the Salt Palace Convention Center and will include outdoor, paddlesport and bicycle elements. Three trade-only days will be followed by a consumer day.

Camisasca was Interbike's show director from 1998-2008. He then served 10 years as president and founder of Lifeboat Events, LLC, which hosted PressCamp media events.

"Lance is an innovative and progressive leader. There is literally no one better than Lance to communicate our unique value proposition to the bike community and to welcome cycling products to our event. We're so happy to have him," said Sutton Bacon, the co-founder of The Big Gear Show.

Camisasca said, "I was intrigued when hearing about The Big Gear Show staging in Salt Lake City next year.

"After learning more about the dynamic team behind it, the NBDA's endorsement and the exciting content strategy, I immediately knew I wanted to be a part of it. I am over the moon to be at the helm of the cycling segments and I am looking forward to engaging with the industry to create a meaningful and much needed national event."

"The NBDA is thrilled to have Lance on board for The Big Gear Show," said the dealer association's president, Brandee Lepak. "His experience and connections in the bike community will only enhance the event. We are excited to watch this evolve over the coming months."
