GARLAND, Texas (BRAIN) — Friends and family of James Kincheloe have started a crowd-funding campaign to help with memorial expenses.

Kincheloe was found dead Feb. 16 at Don Johle's Bike World, where he worked. A fellow employee arriving for work found Kincheloe dead of an apparent gunshot wound.

Later that day a police SWAT team entered the home of store owner Don Johle in nearby Rowlett, Texas, to serve an arrest warrant. They found Johle dead of an apparent self-inflicted gun wound, according to a Garland Police news release.

Johle, 58, was a former top BMX racer with hundreds of career wins; he was inducted into the Texas BMX Hall of Fame in 2012.

Kincheloe, 40, was the father of two young boys. He had worked at the store for about a decade. A crowdfunding campaign page is at gofundme.com/f/james-kincheloe

There is also a GoFundMe page for Preston Hoeger, an employee at the store for 18 years, who said he lost his two best friends and his employment last week.
