SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (BRAIN) — Erik's broke new ground last month when the Midwestern retailer branched out to open its first location in Arizona. The store in Scottsdale is also Erik's first e-bike specific location.
"We have been selling e-bikes for years and are thrilled to be opening a store dedicated to the category," said Erik Saltvold, the founder and owner of Erik's. He said Erik's started selling electric bikes over 20 years ago with the EVG Electric Bike by EV Global, led by Lee Iacocca.
"Focusing exclusively on electric will help elevate the experience for riders interested in the category. We are also fortunate to have an experienced, expert staff," Saltvold added. T
The location will stock e-bikes from brands including Specialized and Aventon. It's just north of East Thunderbird Road at 14224 North Scottsdale Road.
Erik's has about 34 locations, in Arizona, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
