Consumer-direct EVELO seeks dealers for e-bike demo program

Published February 21, 2018

SEATTLE — Consumer-direct e-bike brand EVELO Electric Bicycles is recruiting brick-and-mortar dealers in select markets for its new Demo Dealer Program.

“The traditional retail sector has received a lot of bad publicity lately. We think the negativity is unfounded and we strongly believe in the spirit and the resilience of the IBDs and other industry retailers. They are the trusted experts in their communities and we hope to work with them closely through the new program,” said Alex Stegemann, EVELO’s director of sales

For more than six years, EVELO has partnered with hundreds of bike shops across the U.S. to provide local service and repair. The company said the new Demo Dealer Program will enable EVELO to strengthen those relationships.

“The EVELO Demo Dealer Program will be a low-risk and low-investment opportunity for a forward-thinking shop to start offering electric bikes to its customers or for a specialty e-bike retailer to supplement or expand its lineup,” EVELO managing director John O’Donnell said.
