Published February 1, 2009

ATHENS, GA (BRAIN)—Specialized has launched its first Georgia concept store with the opening of Cycle Sport Concepts.

The second of their two stores, partners Harry Rozek, Micah Morlock and Dave Jones doubled the size of their impact by adding a concept store next door to their current location. Located at the center of cycling crazed Athens, Cycle Sport Concepts is poised to draw cyclists from all over Georgia with his expanded floor plan and updated retail atmosphere.

“We are extremely excited to align ourselves with Specialized and present the line in such a cool atmosphere. Specialized has the most innovative product and continues to push the envelope of bicycle technology and rider comfort. Their commitment to all cyclists has truly created an opportunity for us to better service our customers, which in the end made the decision to get on board with the Concept Store layout an easy one," Morlock said.

“Specialized is lucky to be able to work with such a terrific retail partner like Cyclesport. Harry, Dave and Micah personifies Specialized's goal of delivering the right product to the right rider. We congratulate them on opening Specialized first concept store in Georgia and are confident they will create an environment that continues to develop cycling for all of Georgia,” said John Quinn, the southern regional sales manager for Specialized.

The grand opening of the Georgia Cycle Sport took place on January 25. The rainy day filled the free spin classes and didn’t deter the crowds from tackling the Winter Bike League ride on Saturday. Along with numerous afternoon activities, The Test the Best Demo Team was there throughout the day providing test bikes and equipment.
