SAN DIEGO (BRAIN) — 100% has added two new helmets to its mountain bike line.
The company said the Altec is the advanced rider's choice for a protective and ventilated all-mountain helmet. The Trajecta features class-leading performance and safety features in an enduro helmet.
Both were conceived with full integration of the Smartshock Suspended Rotational System. Traditional bicycle helmets are designed to provide straight-on impact protection. But most cyclists experience angular impacts that produce rotational acceleration and deceleration forces on the brain.
The Smartshock system improves protection by compressing and absorbing direct impacts but also allows the helmet liner to move independently from the outer shell to reduce energy transfer to the brain over a wide range of speeds and impact types.
