ATLANTA, Ga. (BRAIN) — Wahoo Fitness has updated its KICKR stationary trainer, which has been on the market for about four years.
The latest iteration of the KICKR promises a quieter performance, more accurate power measurement, higher power levels and more realistic ride feel when used with ride simulators like Zwift. It also has a new carrying handle that is more ergonomic.
"The KICKR not only ushered in a new era of indoor training, it has continued to set the gold standard for performance," said Chip Hawkins, the CEO of Wahoo Fitness.
"Now, the new KICKR raises the bar even higher, ensuring the KICKR will continue to be the yardstick by which all measured."
The company claims the new KICKR is 14 percent quieter than before. It also has reduced noise frequencies for a quieter indoor riding experience.
T he KICKR is now capable of simulating gradients as high as 20 percent, while producing up to 2,000 watts of resistance. Wahoo also aided the connection and pairing process with new status LEDs, and ANT FE-C+ compatibility, allowing for control of the KICKR by a number of third-party devices.
The new KICKR is available for purchase on Wednesday with an MSRP of $1,199, which includes a cassette and Wahoo's RPM Cadence sensor.
