MONTEREY, Calif. (BRAIN) — Vittoria Industries North America is launching its latest additions to its graphene-enhanced wheel range at this week's Sea Otter Classic. The Qurano 30C, 46C and 60C are tubeless-compatible carbon clincher wheels.
The comapny said the addition of graphene to the rims helps them deliver up to 50 percent improvements in spoke-hole strength, material strength and impact strength. The wheels are also very lightweight: 1,410 grams for 30C, 1,510 grams for 45C and 1,570 grams for the 60C.
The application of graphene in the braking surface of the rim aids in braking heat management. The company said the new wheels meet ISO standard EN 4210 and the UCI's updated non-standard wheel regulations.
The tubeless-ready Speedlock rim profile, in combination with Vittoria's optimized design for its own tire beads, create a perfect match,t he comapny said. That leads to increased convenience when setting up tubeless-ready tires.
All Qurano Clincher wheels are available for purchase now, the company said.
