NEW YORK (BRAIN) — Brompton Bicycle is bringing back its limited Black Edition bike and is running an international video contest to promote it. The contest will be judged by a panel that includes British director Guy Ritchie (said to be a Brompton enthusiast), with a top prize of a trip to London with the chance to participate in the 2016 Brompton World Championships.

The Black Edition was designed to appeal to a younger urban consumer.

"Our first experiment with the Black Edition was a runaway success, appealing to a new generation of Bromptoneers," said Brompton CEO Will Butler-Adams. "We are excited to extend the Black Edition to encourage more people to get on a Brompton and enjoy the freedom and fun it brings!"

The Black Edition will be available to order in S (flat), M (upright) and H (more upright) style handlebars with either two- or six-speed gear options. The extremities are black, with mainframe options available in Black, White, Lime Green, Lagoon Blue and new color option, Orange. Prices range from $1,500-$1,750.

The Black Edition is launching alongside a global social media competition called #MyUnSeenCity, which asks the public to upload a short 15-second Instagram film of their own 'unseen city,'its hidden gems and what makes city living so unique and exciting. The 10 most-liked films will then be shortlisted and judged by a film industry luminary panel, which includes Ritchie, whose film credits include 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels' and 'Sherlock Holmes.'

Two runners up will win a custom-made Black Edition bike and the overall winner will receive the special edition bike as well as the trip to London.
