SUZHOU, China (BRAIN) —- Bafang announced it will unveil production versions of its two racing e-MTB drive systems at the International Bike Festival on Sept. 4-6 in Misano, Italy. Concepts of the M510RS and M560RS drive systems were first shown at Eurobike in 2025.
The systems, according to Bafang, feature higher-precision sensors, the addition of a six‑axis IMU, fully optimized control algorithms, and more than 4,000 hours of race fine‑tuning. "Boost‑to‑Limit" puts maximum output on demand whenever you need it, according to Bafang.
M510RS for performance MTB
110 Nm peak torque (120-130 Nm with Boost‑to‑Limit), 1100W (36V) / 1300W (48V) max output. Refined pedal-by-pedal precision, honed through thousands of race kilometers for technical climbs and demanding ascents, according to Bafang, which added the six‑axis IMU and Sport+ mode continuously read your pedaling and the terrain, so assistance feels intuitive, not intrusive.
M560RS for extreme MTB
120 Nm peak torque (140-150 Nm with Boost‑to‑Limit), 1400W (36V) / 1700W (48V) peak output. According to Bafang, it's built for the steepest, loosest, most punishing terrain and engineered for long climbs, where sustained torque and thermal stability matter more than peak numbers. Available in versions compliant with EU (15.5 mph) or U.S. (28 mph) market requirements.
The M510RS and M560RS share the same mounting interface as the M510 and M560, making them compatible with existing frames without modification.
