LONDON (BRAIN) — The British company behind the Blaze Laserlight, which shines a laser image of a bike on the road in front of a bike, is planning a tailight. The Blaze Burner rear light is now near its funding goal on Kickstarter.
The company recently announced that the Laserlight front light is available in the U.S. after a successful Kickstarter campaign and fulfillment.
The Blaze Burner rear light has 24 LEDs that produce 100 lumens, visible for 180 degress. It also has an ambient light sensor, allowing it to turn on and off automatically or manually. It has a waterproof aluminum case and a magnetic strap bracket attachment. It has a magnetic USB charger. Developers are surveying supporters on their preferred flashing sequence options.
The Blaze Burner is also going to be offered with white LEDs for use on the front.
"The Burner has been the result of three years of hard work, countless prototypes and rigorous testing, to create something elegantly simple. We are so proud of the Laserlight and have learned so much in its development and delivery; we wanted a back light to match it. We believe we’ve thought of everything with this light, yet obsessed to keep things uncomplicated. Concisely, it’s a no fuss, beautifullystylish back light, for every cyclist," the company said.
With 30 days left in its campaign, the company has raised more than $48,000 toward a $53,000 funding goal. Early pledgers are being offered a light for a pledge of £35 (about $53). The light is expected to retail for about $59 when it's offered to the public. The company expects to deliver on pledge orders next April.
