8 Hottest Market Trends for 2011

Of the approximately 120 bodies that jammed Casanova Room 506-507 Interbike Wednesday afternoon for Jay Townely’s annual *Trends And Opportunities* seminar, less than a dozen were from the supplier side of the industry.

The attendance numbers alone make my larger point: suppliers don’t know what’s going on in their customers’ business, largely, I suspect, because they don't consider it relevant to their own...despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

So what’d they miss? Plenty. And for all those who missed it, here are some highlights of Jay Townley's 2011 Trends and Opportunities presentation, including my own picks for the Top 8 Industry Trends for 2011.
