This Golden Goose Needs to be Found

Published February 20, 2009

GT is holding out hope that this tale plays out just like that Brothers Grimm fairy tale. So far it's just a case of whodunit.

As most of you are probably aware, GT has launched its Golden Race Series, where the fastest amateur racer wins a one-off gold painted gem of a bike. GT was in the midst of shipping it to photo and video shoots, etc, when the most dastardly of things happened.

"We're suspecting it was an inside job, considering the shipping label was removed from the box and put into an envelope, which was then sent to the destination—without the bike," said CSG's Robb Zbierski. "But we are keeping a positive attitude. After all, Lance's bike was just recovered after a bunch of help from the media and we are two for two on recovered bikes since I started here."

So, let's help an industry brother out, and help track this goose down. Just don't scratch the paint in the process. Oh yeah, and there's a $3,000 reward. "Seriously!" Zbierski said.
