IRVINE, Calif. (BRAIN) — Felt Bicycles has made changes to its international sales department. The company said it hopes to unify its sales efforts across all of Felt's domestic and international markets.
Adam Micklin has been promoted to vice president of global sales & marketing. Micklin joined Felt in April 2016 as the company's director of international sales, where he led Felt's international sales team and grew the brand's global distributor reach. Prior to joining Felt Bicycles, Micklin held leadership positions at several cycling companies including Shimano, Mavic, Hutchinson and Mountain Racing Products. In 2016, he was also elected president of the Bicycle Product Suppliers Association.
"Adam has been an incredible asset to Felt Bicycles since his arrival," says Felt's general manager, Michael Forte. "Now with this promotion, we're excited to enable Adam to continue growing our brand and improve the bike buying experience for both our retailers and consumers."
"Adam is a veteran within the bike industry, and we're proud to have him on our team," says Felt's president, Bill Duehring. "As our new vice president of sales and marketing, Adam will now be leading the charge for us throughout the remainder of 2017 and beyond as we continue to expand our reach both domestically and globally."
With Micklin's promotion, Jake Duehring transitions from overseeing marketing and business development for international accounts to leading Felt's international sales department as international sales manager. Duehring retired from professional track racing late last year and joined Felt Bicycles full-time to work with global distributors.
"I've been working with Jake now for several months at Felt in launching new support initiatives for our international distributors. Jake completed a month-long tour in Asia visiting existing and new accounts to kick off Felt's plans for 2017 and beyond. Our partners were really excited to have Jake onboard and I'm incredibly confident that Jake will bring our distributors even closer to the Felt family," said Micklin.
