IRVINE, Calif. (BRAIN) — Sena, which is preparing to release a Bluetooth-integrated cycling helmet, has hired bike industry veteran Chris Clark to lead its new cycling division. The company has previously offered Bluetooth-connected products in the motorsports, action sports, and outdoor activities market.
Clarke has worked for Oakley and Raleigh in the past. He will be at Sea Otter Classic this weekend to show the final design of the Sena X1 cycling helmet.
"Chris brings his years of experience in leading sales teams in consumer product sales and distribution from Oakley, Ping and Vectrix along with other major cycling brands to our team," says Rick Grassadonia, vice president of sales for Sena. "With Chris's extensive knowledge of distribution strategy and creating global partnerships and our technologies we are excited about entering this new market."
