Torcano Industries distributing PureFit nutrition bars

Published January 5, 2015

LAKE FOREST, Calif. (BRAIN) — Torcano Industries has become the exclusive U.S. distributor for PureFit Inc, makers of PureFit nutrition bars.

Orange County, California-based PureFit is led by Robb Dorf. Over the years PureFit's bars have received many accolades including Bike Magazine's "Nutrition Bar of the Year."

"I've been wanting to get back to our roots in cycling for almost 10 years," Dorf said. "We took a break from the bike stores to let the brand evolve. Cycling has been part of our culture since our inception in 2001. I wanted to make sure our bars helped cyclists stay fueled for even the most grueling events. That is why none of our flavors will melt in your jersey."

PureFit makes seven non-GMO bars that each contain 18 grams of protein and 230 calories. PureFit uses U.S. grown soy, which the company said is easier on the stomach than traditional protein bars using whey protein.

A box of 15 bars retail for $37.35.

"John Denson (Torcano CEO) and I have been friends for a long time," Dorf said. "I've been waiting for this opportunity. I can assure you our reentry into cycling is 100 percent because Torcano is involved."
