ASPEN, Colo. (BRAIN) — Trek Bicycle is celebrating the retirement of German pro Jens Voigt with special events and products during this week's USA Pro Challenge stage race, which starts Monday in Aspen, Colorado. The USAPC will be the last professional race in the U.S. for Voigt, who is a member of the Trek Factory Racing team.

Trek is hosting special events open to the public at the Aspen and Vail stages and will offer limited edition Jens gear in the race's expo. The company built two special edition Farewell Jens bikes. They feature a chrome finish and custom graphics, including a toptube graphic that recalls highlights of Voigt's 17-year career. The downtube graphic has a "a running tally of the number of souls Voigt has crushed in his career of attacking, though the number is a conservative estimate," a Trek press release said.

Trek is also offering a special chrome Bontrager Velocis helmet, Bontrager XXX shoes and Bontrager Race Shop Limited jersey and shorts. Written across the back of the jersey is Jens' goodbye message, "Farewell Fans!" The rear panel of his shorts says, "One last time".

Throughout the race, fans can tweet their congratulations and favorite Jens moments and quotes using the hashtag #FarewellJens.
