DUARTE, Calif. (BRAIN) — Quality Bicycle Products will become the only U.S. distributor of Dahon folding bikes and accessories, the companies announced Friday. Dahon will also continue to sell direct to dealers and provide parts and warranty support to dealers.
The news was announced on the opening day of QBP's Frostbike open house.
"With Dahon rapidly growing in North America as a leader in urban and city bikes, QBP is the ideal partner to expand our distribution and increase exposure of our folding bike models to thousands of IBDs throughout North America," said Henry Hon, co-founder and vice president of the Dahon group. "Dealers now have the best of both worlds — they can deal directly with Dahon's team or enjoy additional efficiency by ordering from QBP."
"We are very excited to represent Dahon to our North American network of leading IBDs, who are working hard to grow their business in the burgeoning urban/city bike category," said Jim Holst, QBP's product manager. "We feel that we can now support these IBDs even better and more efficiently by bringing Dahon's award-winning folding bikes into their product mix, as well as providing easy and convenient ordering for Dahon parts and accessories."
