USADA’s Travis Tygart to speak at triathlon conference

ORANGE, CA (BRAIN) — Travis Tygart, CEO of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, will be among the keynote speakers at the three-day Triathlon Business International conference next month. 

The fourth annual multisport conference is set for Jan. 26-28 in Marina Del Rey, California. This year organizers have included dedicated panel discussions and content for event managers. 

Panels and breakout sessions will cover a wide range of topics including drug policies and endurance sports, triathlon industry research, the state of multisport retail, marketing best practices, sponsorship, charity involvement and non-traditional events. 

Among the speakers will be Dr. Don Catlin and Oliver Catlin from the Anti-Doping Sciences Institute and Banned Substances Control Group, Sean Petty from USA Cycling and Paula Newby Fraser of World Triathlon Corporation. 

Brendan Quirk of Backcountry.com and Lloyd Taylor of Triathlon Lab will lead the discussion on the future of brick-and-mortar and online retail, a panel moderated by Seton Claggett of TriSports.com. 

Triathlon Business International will also host speed networking, bike fit demonstrations and its annual awards presentation.
