CHATTANOOGA, TN (BRAIN) — Firefighters responded Monday morning to a blaze at Lynskey Performance’s Chattanooga factory, but employees said the incident had no significant effect on frame production or other company operations.
The fire was sparked in a piece of machinery and spread into an adjacent wall, igniting the insulation and rising up toward the roof, according to local news reports. It took about an hour to fully extinguish, media reported.
But Melissa Farrow, accounting at Lynskey, described the news reports as overblown and said there was little disruption to day-to-day operations. Another employee said staff were back at work within an hour of the fire’s discovery.
