Published April 1, 2013

MONTEREY, CA (BRAIN) — Light maker Magicshine is hosting night rides during this month's Sea Otter Classic here, as part of its sponsorship of the event. The rides are intended to give consumers, media and retailer an opportunity to check out Magicshine products while they pedal through the trails of Fort Ord National Monument or around the famous turns of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca after dark.

"Sea Otter is such a gathering place for the cycling community - we look forward to showing off to consumers and the industry the quality and power of our lights," said Mingjun Li, CEO of Magicshine China. "Media reviews for the product have been outstanding so far, but we know that to expand our market in the U.S., we need show the industry Magicshine products deliver beyond their expectations."

The Magicshine Night Ride will take place immediately following the Sea Otter Classic Cyclocross race Saturday April 20 at 7:30 p.m. Pre-registered participants will pick up their lights at the Magicshine booth (709), in the Sea Otter Expo area. Guided mountain bike rides will depart from the Sea Otter Bridge, located near turn 5 at 8 p.m., and road riders will be able to ride as many laps as they want on the Laguna Seca racetrack. The Monterey Offroad Cycling Association is helping coordinate the rides, in conjunction with Sea Otter organizers.

Magicshine is providing a limited number of demo lights, but participants can also bring their own lights.
