1,100 retailers brave snow for Frostbike

Published February 23, 2013

BLOOMINGTON, MN (BRAIN)—With snow shutting airports and icing up Interstates, Quality Bicycle Products expects little impact on attendance at Frostbike which opened today with various seminars. Tomorrow QBP’s Frostbike expo opens with over 130 vendors showing their newest products.

Frostbike overlaps the North American Handmade Bicycle Show in Denver, Colorado, and the Birkebeiner ski race in Wisconsin, leading a few attendees to vent their frustration at too many events scheduled for the same weekend.

QBP scaled back the event this year, inviting fewer dealers so they would not pack out the facilities as they have in past years, hoping to improve the experience of attendees.
