Dates set for 2013 triathlon gathering

Published June 21, 2012

SAN DIEGO, CA (BRAIN)—Triathlon Business International will hold next year’s conference Feb. 9-12 at San Diego’s Rancho Bernardo Inn.

The annual triathlon industry gathering costs $495 for members and $595 for members, but prices increase after Sept. 30.

The conference is a three-day powwow for race organizations, manufacturers, retailers and service providers, and includes seminars, panels, tech clinics and networking events.

In line with the organization’s name change from Triathlon America, it is also looking at expanding the conference internationally next year, said association president Jack Caress.

Triathlon Business International is partnering with Interbike to sponsor a triathlon-specific pavilion at this year’s trade show. The space has sold out with 30 exhibitors, some of which are new to Interbike.

“The whole pavilion turned out to be a very significant success. We’re trying to figure out if we can get more [space],” Caress said.
