Crankbrothers completes first auction of 'dream bikes'
LAGUNA BEACH, CA (BRAIN)—Crankbrothers has auctioned off the first of 14 "dream bikes" that it is selling to support Wheels4Life, a non-profit established by Hans Rey that delivers bikes to people in the third world.

The bikes were built to demonstrate Crankbrothers' complete line of components on top-of-the-line frames.

The goal is to raise as much as $50,000 through the auctions. That would provide 500 bikes through Wheels4Life.

The bikes are being auctioned once a week starting on Mondays, leading up to the Sea Otter Classic, where the final bike will be raffled.

The first auction ended Thursday when a Scott Genius LT sold for $3,200. A Tomac Supermatic goes on auction next Monday.
