LOS ANGELES, CA (BRAIN)—Industry veteran Steve Boyd has launched a new distribution company, Stile Products, that will represent Tern Bicycles and BioLogic cycling accessories.
Tern Bicycles is led by Joshua Hon and his mother, Florence Shen, both formerly of Dahon. Boyd is Dahon North America's former chief operating officer. (Click on above link to read about their split from Dahon and their new venture, Tern Bicycles.)
Tern's 22 models will focus on the commuter, urban and bike transport segments; they will become available at IBDs this fall.
“Stile will distribute unique, quality products that give great value to the customer,” said Steve Boyd, Stile Products general manager. “Tern offers bikes that fold, not simply another folding bike. We bring the handling, engineering, and ride quality of traditional rigs at a very reasonable price point. Tern’s versatility will become a fixture of the commuting cyclist scene in 2012 and beyond.”
Stile Products will also distribute BioLogic's line, including the BikeBrain cycling application for the iPhone, which has been downloaded more than 40,000 times.
“BioLogic accessories address the needs of urban commuters with intuitive, results-driven product,” Boyd said. “Starting immediately, we’ll be offering the full line of BioLogic products to dealers.”
Stile Products is based in Los Angeles.
