ST-LAURENT, Quebec (BRAIN)—Outdoor Gear Canada (OGC) is expanding its Montréal warehouse with a 36,000 square foot addition scheduled for completion later this summer.
"We've been operating at or above full capacity for the past year and have been renting satellite warehouses for several months now," said Jean Cloutier, OGC's vice-president, operations and finance.
"Even with the cool, wet weather we’ve experienced this spring throughout much of the country, our year-to-date sales have increased approximately 7.5 percent," Cloutier said. "We need the additional space as soon as possible."
OGC’s head office and warehouse are LEED (silver) — certified. The additional space will be built to the same LEED criteria used in the construction of the main facility five years ago.
