MONTGOMERYVILLE, PA (BRAIN)—The Bicycle Products Suppliers Association has hired Ray Keener as its part-time executive marketing director.
Keener will be responsible for membership development, website management, cooperative alliance with Interbike, public relations, and Bicycle Leadership Conference planning. Keener’s company, Growth Cycle, will continue to support retailers worldwide with the Selling Cycling staff training program.
John Nedeau, BPSA president, said, “The BPSA is a long-standing business association that does great work on behalf of member companies and the industry in the areas of legal defense, safety, tariff advisement, statistics, and hosting an annual business conference. But as a volunteer association, we haven’t always effectively marketed our benefits to the industry.”
“Ray brings a wealth of industry experience, marketing knowledge and relationships to the position. I am really confident his efforts will reinforce member benefits and invite others that simply have not been aware of how the BPSA can serve them.”
Maureen Waddington continues in the capacity of BPSA administrative executive director and will work closely with Keener to communicate with new and existing members.
Keener is looking forward to the opportunity to help the BPSA grow. “The BPSA has enjoyed universal support from leading bike and component suppliers,” Keener said. “The Interbike and LTG programs make BPSA membership very appealing to companies in all product categories. The initial response from the industry has been strongly positive.”
