DENVER, CO (BRAIN)—Boa Technology has opened its new Hong Kong office. The company has also promoted Mark Kerns to Asia development manager in Japan to support continued focus and growth around the world.
With headquarters in Denver, Boa now has three global offices in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Chiba, Japan and Hong Kong to serve its expanding partner base, according to a press release.
“The new office in Hong Kong reflects our commitment to support our partners in Asia and beyond,” said Boa director of operations Lonnie Thomsen. “We have always distributed from Hong Kong, but we felt that it was time for Boa to be 100 percent in control of our staff, inventory and warehouse space there. Direct control of our inventory eliminates any confusion that may have existed with partners when they were receiving shipments of Boa product from what seemed like a third party vendor. It was a smooth transition from our long-time distribution partner, Mu-Tron Company, to Boa Technology Hong Kong Limited. Boa was excited to retain all Mu-Tron personnel and the physical address.”
In addition, Boa Technology has added personnel to its Chiba, Japan, office. Current Denver-based Boa product development manager Mark Kerns will take the reins as the new Asia development manager.
“Boa is increasing its focus and commitment on the growth that we are seeing in Asia,” Kerns said. “With powerhouse brands like TrekSta, Shimano and Yonex already implementing the Boa Lacing System into their product lines, and future growth forecasted, it will be crucial for our sales and development processes to be streamlined between Asia and our global headquarters in Denver.”
