CALGARY, Alberta (BRAIN)—Chariot Carriers has undergone a leadership transition with the appointment of founder Dan Britton to the newly-created global position of product specialist. Pierre Doyon, business consultant to Chariot Carriers, is concurrently appointed to the position of president and CEO.
Chariot Carriers’ expansion and growth into international markets, including Australia, Europe and the U.S., has created the need for the global role of product specialist. In his new role, Britton will work closely with Chariot’s current engineering team in designing high-quality, safe child carriers that allow fun, active family time together.
“With more families around the world adopting a healthy, active lifestyle, we have reached an exciting new growth phase in our evolution,” said Britton. “My decision to change allows me to dedicate myself to the development of our products. Further, it takes me back to doing what I love and the reason I started this company—while allowing a seasoned business leader to take the company through this growth phase. Pierre and I share a vision to make Chariot a world class company and Pierre’s integrity, and energy give us confidence that he is the right person to lead Chariot.”
Since November 2009, Doyon has been working with Chariot Carriers’ executive management team on strategic initiatives such as distributor contracts and brand positioning. His role prior to joining Chariot was as CEO of Adculture Group, a marketing communications firm focused on agrifood in North America.
“Dan’s personality and passion have created the unique culture that has driven Chariot Carriers’ success,” said Doyon. “As an award-winning, world-leading expert in product development, Dan will continue to ensure our products are innovative and competitive, while I’m excited to take on the management of the day-to-day business operations. This decision positions Chariot Carriers well for further success and ensures the continued high satisfaction of our customers.”
