HILLIARD, OH (BRAIN)—Verde Bikes is set to open a new West Coast warehouse in Orange County, California at the end of the month. Ohio’s Greenhouse BMX owns Verde Bikes along with Duo Brand and Cinema Wheel Company.
“We have a lot of great customers out west, so having Verde Bikes available on the West Coast was a necessity,” said Lou Capparelli, sales manager of Greenhouse BMX, located on the outskirts of Columbus, Ohio. “This West Coast warehouse will give shops a faster, more cost effective way to buy and sell Verde Bikes.” Transit times for most West Coast dealers will now only take one to two days, Capparelli added.
Verde is set to release its fourth model year of complete BMX bikes in July, with seven models ranging from $275 to $600 retail.
Capparelli said Greenhouse’s sales have been good, and his dealers report much of the same. “BMX hasn’t really been affected,” Capparelli said of the sour economy. His reasoning is that parents are putting off adult bike purchases so their kids can get that new bike.
The new warehouse will be located in Fountain Valley.
