BETHEL, CT (BRAIN)—Cannondale Sports Group (CSG) has restructured its international sales force to focus efforts on regional market opportunities and strengthen its position with both direct retail management and distributor partnerships.
Over the next three months, eight new positions will be introduced to capitalize on important international growth opportunities. The impact to the current organizational structure is two-fold: The new resources will create additional focus on each of the brands in the CSG portfolio (Cannondale, GT, Schwinn and Mongoose); and positions will be located within the specific region of responsibility for increased and improved customer service.
The following are the organizational changes that will be introduced over the next three months:
Effective March 1, Jeff Weiss will be taking on the role of director of international business development and will be tasked with collaborating across brands and supporting regional development priorities. Weiss will transition to this role from his current position as director of international sales for the Schwinn and Mongoose brands and will be based in Madison, WI.
Currently, recruiting has begun for the vice president sales & marketing Asia Pacific to head our efforts in the region. This new role will be based in the Taichung office and will be responsible for the development of the overall CSG business throughout the Asia Pacific region. This position will also oversee both distributors and Cannondale subsidiaries in Japan and Australia.
Beginning March 1, three new regional distributor directors will be appointed. Each position will be responsible for leading distributor business across all four brands (Cannondale, GT, Schwinn and Mongoose) in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America. These positions will be located in Taichung, Taiwan; Basel, Switzerland; and Bethel, CT.
Beginning April 1, three new regional sales coordinators will be appointed. Each coordinator will be responsible for supporting our distributor business across all four brands (Cannondale, GT, Schwinn and Mongoose) in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. These positions will be based in Taichung, Taiwan; Basel, Switzerland; and Bethel, CT.
“The increasingly competitive nature of global markets today requires that we continuously question our business assumptions and operating models,” said Jeff McGuane, president of CSG International. “We are confident that these changes will fuel significant growth and help us secure clear market leadership in the years ahead.”
