BOULDER, CO (BRAIN)—Held in the Glenn Miller ballroom at the University of Colorado, the first annual Rocky Mountain Bicycle Show, presented by Hudz and Wheels Manufacturing, was a success in the eyes of both organizers and exhibitors.
"We're very pleased with the turnout, and people were leaving with smiles," said show director Carol Johnson. Johnson estimated that 750 to 1,000 people paid the $5 admission fee to visit with 35 exhibitors, including Zinn Cycles, Paketa, Dean Bicycles and other local builders and accessory companies.
John Siegrist of Dean Bicycles said, "Like any cycling event, you gotta start somewhere. We're happy with the traffic so far."
Custom builder Mark Nobilette said attendance "wasn't bad. "I'm pretty satisfied. I came in with low expectations and they've been exceeded."
