Shop Expects 300 for Women’s Event

Published February 25, 2008

WHEAT RIDGE, CO (BRAIN)—Wheat Ridge Cyclery will be opening its doors tomorrow night for its annual “Women’s Night Out” starting at 6:30 p.m. The shop is expecting high attendance.

“We've already had nearly 300 women RSVP and expect more,” said Matt Boyer, the shop’s marketing director. “It should be a really great night for all those in attendance.”

This year's special guest is Colleen Cannon, former world champion triathlete and founder of Women's Quest, a travel company that provides life-changing outdoor adventures for women.

Vendors will set up booths to discuss what they offer the woman cyclist. The shop also will serve complimentary wine, cheeses, snacks and chocolate to keep attendees nourished.

And back by popular demand this year is the fashion show, featuring the latest and greatest in women’s cycling apparel.

This year’s event will be a more of an "open" affair, allowing for the communal spirit of the evening to really thrive, Boyer said.
