Margevicius Moves to New Zealand

Published January 16, 2008

MORGAN HILL, CA (BRAIN)—Bob Margevicius, Specialized’s vice president of bicycle research and development, is moving to New Zealand but will remain with the company full-time.

Mike Sinyard, founder and chief executive officer, said Wednesday that Margevicius was a “top executive who’s done a great job.”

Margevicius’ move to New Zealand apparently sparked unfounded rumors that he had left the company. “Rest assured I am still every bit a part of the Specialized team,” he said. Margevicius said he would keep a residence in California.

With his move, Specialized is looking for a director of road bike product management. In addition, Deacon James and Brandon Sloan have been promoted to director level positions at the company’s Morgan Hill offices.
