IRVINE, CA (BRAIN)—PureFit recently donated 20,000 PureFit Nutrition Bars to U.S. troops in Iraq through the non-profit organization Operation Gratitude. Operation Gratitude lifts troops' morale by sending care packages to service members overseas.
“This donation from PureFit reflects the broad support our troops are getting from so many diverse organizations,” said Carolyn Blashek of Operation Gratitude. “The generosity of PureFit’s contribution is appreciated and is a particularly good fit for our troops as they perform rigorous and demanding endurance-type activities on a daily basis.”
Since 2000, Robb Dorf, PureFit founder and president, has been producing high-quality, all-natural, 40/30/30 nutrition bars. PureFit Bars offer a nutritious option for fueling sports activities or simply a healthy snack, without all the additives and sugar that are often included in other “nutrition” bars. PureFit Bars don’t contain dairy, wheat, gluten, artificial sweeteners, hydrogenated oils, trans fats or sugar alcohols, offering a sound nutritional choice.
“I created PureFit to offer a more nutritious energy bar option and to set a higher standard for nutrition bars,” Dorf said. “Everyone is eating them as though they’re health food, so why not make them healthy? I wanted to offer a bar for everyone—one that would fuel an endurance athlete’s toughest workouts or provide a nutritious between-meal snack. I believe I’ve done that PureFit Bars.
“It’s also important to us to give back to the community, whether it’s through education about nutrition, sponsorships or donating bars to organizations like Operation Gratitude.
Operation Gratitude seemed like a great way for us to show our appreciation to the troops in Iraq. PureFit Nutrition Bars are well-suited to help fuel the strenuous work the soldiers do in the extreme heat—PureFit bars don’t melt, so they offer an ideal source of portable nutrition," he added.
In addition to its support of Operation Gratitude, PureFit is a proud supporter of the Best Friends Animal Society, Challenged Athletes Foundation, Celiac Sprue Association and City of Hope.
