Fuji, SE Bikes' Sales Team Changing

Published October 16, 2007

PHILADELPHIA, PA (BRAIN)—Advanced Sports recently announced some changes in its sales department.

On the heels of new-hire Mark McCormack (New England territory manager), ASI welcomes another U.S. professional bike racer, Brenda Lyons.

Coming off of a successful road racing career, Lyons will settle into the Southern California territory. And, just like McCormack, she will continue to race part-time in addition to taking on her new role selling Fuji and SE Bikes and branded parts and accessories.

In addition to Lyons and McCormack, ASI has promoted territory manager Roy Hough to the position of U.S. sales manager. The management position was recently vacated when Tom Roth moved into the newly-created position of national accounts manager. Roth’s responsibilities include managing large national accounts, private label business and new business leads.

After successfully growing the Fuji and SE Bikes brands in the Eastern Pennsylvania/Southern New Jersey territory, Hough looks forward to new challenges.

"It’s pronounced ‘huff’ like ‘tough,’" said Hough responding to the most frequently asked question he receives. "I’m really excited to pick up where Tom left off. Fuji and SE have both seen tremendous growth in the past few years, going from less than 1 percent market share to better than 4 percent. That puts us among the top seven brands in the country. We have momentum—and we’re in a great position to grow even more."

Replacing Hough in the outside territory is Frank Zimmer, one of ASI’s long-time inside customer service representatives. Zimmer, always the "go-to" guy, brings an encyclopedic knowledge of Fuji and SE products to his new position.

"My family comes from a small business background, so I know what it means to have a sales person listen and provide individually tailored solutions based on a thorough understanding of our product line, our programs and their business," Zimmer said.

Brian McKinney takes over as inside sales representative at Advanced Sports. McKinney has a strong background in sales and service having been a sales manager for Nikon watches.
