Published March 5, 2025

NEW YORK (BRAIN) — Brompton, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, has made some major updates to its iconic C Line of folding bikes.

The C Line is the original Brompton model invented in 1975 by founder Andrew Ritchie. It continues to be made in London.

The newly expanded range now includes 2-speed, 6-speed and 12-speed options; the new 12-speed has three exclusive colors: Flamingo Pink, Amethyst Lacquer and Turkish Green.

The 12-speed model uses a 4-speed cassette and rear derailleur combined with a three-speed internal gear hub.

The C Line 12-speed and new color options became available on March 5 from the company's website, its company stores and its authorized dealers.

The C Line models range in price from $1,550 to $2,300 depending on drivetrain speeds. There is also a limited edition Shantell Martin 2-speed model that retails for $1,950.
