(BRAIN) — The Rivendell "Mike Plumpatire" floor pump, being wholesaled to retailers by The Merry Sales Co., has a 40mm diameter barrel, tailored to quickly inflate road and gravel tires from 28mm-50mm or bigger,
The pump inflates a 700x42mm tire in about 21 strokes, the brand said.
"It's a relatively inexpensive pump, but uses extremely durable materials on parts that traditionally break on pumps. Replacement small parts will be made available, even though high-use parts such as gaskets are designed to last seven years. It has a wooden handle and an aluminum barrel," Merry Sales said.
The pump is designed to inflate up to about 80 psi. It has a gauge with psi and bar, a Schraeder/Presta head and what the company calls a "longish" hose.
The pump will be sold consumer direct by Rivendell Bicycle Works and wholesale by Merry Sales. MSRP: $49.99
