AUBURN, Wash. (BRAIN) — Ortlieb's new Handlebar-Pack QR is designed for overnights, gravel expeditions, and trips around town. The new quick-release design makes it easy to load, attach it to the bike, and detach.
The 11-liter capacity also features two small exterior mesh pockets and is waterproof up to a depth of 3 feet for 30 minutes. It weighs about a pound and loads from above.
The bar-lock cord attachment helps secure the pack to the handlebars with roll closure adjustable height and two CamLock fasteners on the front to create further compression options.
The pack ($160) is PVC-free and constructed with abrasion-resistant nylon fabric. The maximum load is 11 pounds. It can be paired with the optional Handlebar-Pack QR Inner Pocket ($15) to store and access cash, cards, or a mobile phone.
