PORTLAND, Ore. (BRAIN) — Portland Design Works will donate 10 percent of profits from the new Very Good Dog Cage to animal advocacy organizations that help very good dogs in need. The VGD Cage comes in white or black.
The shape of the white VGD Cage was inspired by the legendary brandy-toting St. Bernard rescue dogs of the Swiss Alps. The black VGD was designed to represent another type of rescue dog: the everyday black Lab mix waiting to be adopted at the local shelter. A limited number of VGD Cages are available directly through PDW’s Dealer Portal and will be more widely available in early February through PDW distributors.
PDW Co-founder Erik Olson said, “Having two very good dogs myself, the VGD Cage is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. It took a lot of tinkering for us to settle on a design but I think the result is fantastic and we’re especially proud to be giving 10 percent of profits to animal advocacy organizations.”
Suggested retail: $25. The cages can also be paired with the VGD Brandy Barrel tool keg, which comes with an empty tool roll and retails for $14.
