ASHEVILLE, N.C. (BRAIN) — Industry Nine's new GRCX TRA and TR270 TRA wheels have the widest rim the company has ever offered for drop-bar bikes. The alloy rims have a 24.5mm innner width and 28.5mm outer width. They are available in 700c and 650b.
"Centered around our mountain bike-inspired Torch Road Alloy system hub and spoke chassis, the GRCX TRA and TR270 TRA further our mission of offering rider-designed wheelsets aimed to take you to those places you've only seen on a map," the company said.
The wheels use i9 straight-pull, direct-thread aluminum spokes. Front hubs are convertable between QR 100mm, 9x100mm, 12x100mm and 15x100mm. Rear axles are convertible between QR 135mm, 10x135mm, 12x135mm and 12x142mm. Rear hubs are available with Shimano/SRAM, Campy 11-speed and SRAM XD-R drivers. Recommended tire width is 22-55mm.
