Raleigh launches new fashion bike, the Superbe, available with Ready Ride assembly

Published June 12, 2017

KENT, Wash. (BRAIN) — Raleigh has launched a new fashion bike model that is available consumer direct from the company's website with Ready Ride assembly, a level of assembly first introduced by Raleigh's sister company, Diamondback, in March. All Raleigh bikes will be available with Ready Ride by the end of 2018, the company said.

The $499 Superbe was designed with fashion-inspired colors and design elements and offers a comfortable ride, the company said.

"Beautifully built for everything from getting groceries to commuting to cruising on the bike path, it's a modern-day classic that takes no shortcuts in delivering high-end materials and performance," the company said.

Steve Westover, vice president of marketing at Raleigh said, "The new Superbe has amazing details and colors and we couldn't be happier with the collection this year. Couple this with Ready Ride, and you have a stylish bike that's equipped to ride in minutes – maximizing your enjoyment on the Superbe."

The Superbe's four different colorways are inspired by fashion meccas. A British racing green color represents London's Regent Street, a classic black was inspired by  New York's Soho district, an ivory finish pays tribute to Chicago's Magnificent Mile and the dusty pink for Beverly Hills' Rodeo Drive.

The bikes have lock-on leather grips, a leather saddle with coil springs, historic Heron insignias inside the chain ring, and custom, wrap-around chain guard. Accessories include a detachable wicker shopping pannier, rear steel light cargo rack, white tip-fin fenders, and a brass bell.
