Park Tool will show new truing stand and mobile workshop at Sea Otter

MONTEREY, Calif. (BRAIN) — Park Tool will show its new TS-4 Professional Wheel Truing Stand at next week's Sea Otter Classic. The tool brand also will show off its new MW-1 Mobile Workshop Event Trailer, which will offer free loaner tools and work stands and will showcase more than 400 Park Tool products.

This is the first time that Park has exhibited at Sea Otter, said Park's president and owner, Eric Hawkins.

"We are excited to help provide the tools and stands so riders can keep their bikes in top condition," Hawkins said.

Park Tool will have six free-standing do-it-yourself workstations spread throughout the venue for riders to do quick repairs, cleaning and adjustments. The familiar Park Tool blue stands will be set up at many of the major junctions.

"One of our missions is to take the fear out of working on your own bike. A major part of our website is dedicated to educating riders on how to work on their bikes through videos and step-by-step guides. We are very excited to supply the tools and expert advice to riders at this year's Sea Otter through our Mobile Workshop and Workstations set up around the event," said Hawkins.

The TS-4 stand was designed and built to handle any size wheel and tire combination, including fat tire wheels, without having to remove the tire or brake rotor. The company said the TS-4 is not a replacement for its iconic TS-2.2 Truing Stand, but will supplement the TS-2.2. The TS-4 accommodates axle widths from 75mm to over 200mm, works with wheel sizes from 16 to 29-inch plus, and tire widths up to 5 inches. It includes integrated thru-axle adaptors. The made-in-the-U.S. stand will retail for $350 and be available in June.
