MADRID (BRAIN) — Bkool has announced its most affordable, gradual resistance curve trainer, "Bkool One."
Th One features a powerful simulator, offering the same pedaling sensations as a top-of-the-line trainer, the company said.
The trainer's gradual resistance curve automatically changes the resistance based on the rider's speed, offering users sensations just as if they were on the road. When used with the Bkool simulator, the screen shows training data. This requires pairing the trainer with an ANT+ or Bluetooth Smart speed or cadence sensor, which lets users enjoy all the features of the Bkool simulator.
The One also has a reduced size and weight, and silent operation.
Fernando García, the company's founder, said "Bkool's emergence in the market is helping users improve their performance thanks to more advanced technology, without cost being a barrier."
The Onecan be folded for easy storage and it weighs just 8 kilos (17.6 pounds), so it's easy to carry. It is packaged fully assembled and puts out no more than 64 decibels at speeds above 30 kilometers per hour.
The One is designed for indoor but also ideal for outdoor warmups before competition because it is light, easy to carry and requires no electricity.
It ships with the Bkool simulator, which lets cyclists ride any route in the world alongside other cyclists in different places, connected in real time. Its 3D World technology simulates any route in the world in 3D and recreates the actual elevation of the terrain and the details in the landscape. Its 3D Real Weather technology recreates the weather in real time on any route, with elements such as rain, sunshine, wind and snow. Also available to users is a library with over 1,000 route videos. It works on PC, Mac and tablets with the iOS and Android operating systems.
