Gear Up to distribute Italian-made rack system

Published November 25, 2014

AUGUSTA, Kan. (BRAIN) — GearUp, Inc. signed an agreement to distribute a new bike rack system called Figo in the U.S. Peruzzo s.r.l. of Rossano Veneto, Italy, manufactures the rack.

The Figo is named for the Italian slang term for "cool." The patented bike storage and display rack offers an infinite number of ways to store a bike and comes in different colors. With a 360-degree grip adjustment, it allows users to position their bikes in many different ways. The rack can hold the bike by its frame, seatpost and even stem. The rack retails for $79.99.

"We were introduced to the Cool Bike Rack at this year's Interbike and left there knowing we wanted to distribute the product for Peruzzo in the United States," said Josh Ogden, president of Gear Up. "This is truly one of those products that makes you look twice, admire the design, the simplicity, and the elegance."

"We've designed a space-saving storage and display rack that looks sexy, works great and is very versatile. It is produced in our factory in Italy, which we are very proud of as well," said Paola Peruzzo of Peruzzo s.r.l. "We hope America will appreciate the design and thoughtfulness of this rack. The Cool Bike Rack is selling extremely well in Europe and we know America will love it too."

The Figo will become available in January. Gear Up is taking pre-orders now.
